Gran Turismo 7’s competitive racing lives in Sport Mode, where three Daily Races — A, B and C — rotate every week and run continuously through matchmaking. There are no fixed start times to catch: you join when you are ready and the game builds a grid of drivers at your level. This page shows the current week’s three races with their track, car category and lap count, so you know what is on before you queue up.

How the Daily Races work

The three races refresh on a weekly rotation, changing together at the start of each week. They are usually pitched at different appetites: a shorter race on road or lightweight cars, and longer ones on the GR.4 and GR.3 racing categories that make up most of Gran Turismo’s competitive grids. Because entry is continuous rather than scheduled, the useful question is not “when does it start” but “what is running this week” — which car, which track, how many laps — and whether it suits you.

Driver Rating and Sportsmanship

Sport Mode matches you on two ratings at once. Driver Rating tracks your pace and runs in bands from E up to A and A+, moving you into faster company as you win. Sportsmanship Rating tracks how cleanly you race, from E up to S, and the game leans on it hard: contact and track-limit abuse draw time penalties in the race and pull your SR down after it. The matchmaking uses both, so a clean race in the right daily is worth more than a fast, messy one, and climbing to the top splits means racing tidily as much as quickly.

Beyond the dailies

On top of the weekly races, Gran Turismo runs the GT World Series — the Nations Cup, where you race for your country, and the Manufacturers Cup, where you represent a car brand. These are the official championships that feed into Gran Turismo’s real-world finals and its FIA-backed esports calendar, and they are where the daily-race practice pays off.
